Cleartext includes mail server monitoring in its standard email security services. This service combined with our Business Email Continuity service ensures that you know when your mail server is not reachable AND your users have a backup mail service available while you or your team fix the problem.

If your mail server goes offline ClearEmail will;

• Start caching inbound email so you don't loose it while we can't deliver
• The Business Continuity service is always on and available to your users
• Will send you a text message with the error condition
• Will send an email to your alternate address with the error condition
• Continue to monitor your server until it is restored to it's normal state.  

As well as sending our clients an alert Cleartext support will be alerted so that we can be on standby to assist if required.

Monitoring Options

When a client is provisioned on ClearEmail MX we'll ask you for;

• The IP address/host name to monitor for;
  
  • ping based monitoring
  • service based monitoring via smtp
• Your mobile telephone number to send SMS alerts
• Your alternate email address, for example at Hotmail or Yahoo
• If you don't have an alternate address we can provide one on the clearemail.net domain.
